Maxim Girl Nikki Bokal

Born and raised in New York City, Nikki was brought up in a highly artistic and creative household by her mother, a model and a businesswoman, after her parents split ehn she was a toddler. Nikki learned early to appreciate theater, music, dance, and art, and enrolled in virtually every kind of dance class, including ballet, jazz and hip-hop, as well as voice and piano lessons. As a child, she hung out in The Guggenheim, developing an unusual early love for architecture, and also became an avid equestrian rider. She preferred the company of her mother and her mother's artist friends to that of kids her age - probably because they were a willing captive audience for her frequent dance routines, comedy sketches amd dramatic recitals.

At 15, Nikki's professional career began, when she followed in her mother's footsteps into the world of modeling. She traveled the world, doing fashion shoots and runway in Europe, South America and Asia. Modeling gave her the freedom and the confidence to learn by experience, see new things and, most importantly, pursue acting. In spite of landing some commercials and taking screenwriting, directing and producing class at New York University, Nikki felt she needed to head West to truly launch an acting career. The consummate New Yorker took the plunge one day, calling a moving company and asking them when they could move her to Hollywood. When they replied, "Two weeks," she had her departure date.

Once in Los Angeles, Nikki continued to model, but acting classes with Ivana Chubbuck was where her paasion lay. Once again, she began to book commercials, and theatrical jobs were not far behind. Early credits include a guest-starring role on The WB's "Jack & Jill" and the independent feature film "Out in Fifty" with Mickey Rourke and Christina Applegate. She then landed teh gritty role of a heroin abuser in "Redemption", which was immediately followed by a meaty part in a major studio filn, "Enough". In addition, she recently started an apprenticeship with The Actors' Gang Ensemble Theatre. In very short order, Nikki has sped to the head of the class, and cannot wait to see how moviegoers respond. Now ensconced in Hollywood - albeit in a very New York - like apartment - Nikki returns to Manhattan every two months to see family and friends.

She's an avid golfer, having picked up the game as a child, continues to ride horses and longs to get behind the wheel of a racecar. Over the past year, she has started DJ-ing and salsa dancing. A vegetarian and owner of two cats, Bear and Jack, who she rescuedin the desert, Nikki is an animal rights activist and a big believer in finger-painting as a stress reliever.

Maxim Girl Moon Bloodgood

Moon’s confidence in her body and her moves certainly caught the attention of her longtime boyfriend, 24 and Six Feet Under actor Eric Balfour. The two met in Hawaii, with Moon attracting Eric’s attention by busting out some seriously sexy moves on the dance floor. “It was a total sexual movie moment,” she says. After a lengthy courtship, Moon and Eric recently got engaged (the two are keeping mum on where and when the wedding will occur, however).

Moon’s meteoric rise to fame certainly speaks volumes as to her innate talent and ambition, and it’s clear that her roles will only continue to get bigger and better as the years progress. From her humble beginnings as a bit-player (her character name in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! was “Gorgeous Woman,” for example) to a reliable television actress to a bona fide leading lady, Moon has always managed to infuse even the most seemingly insignificant role with an apt amount of charisma and presence.

Korinna Moon Bloodgood was born on September 20, 1975, in Anaheim, California. Moon’s father was an American military man stationed in Korea when he met her mother, and the two eventually got married and relocated to California. Though she grew up in Orange County, Moon’s upbringing was far from the idealized, picture-perfect existence that one might have expected.

"The misconception about Orange County is that it's all Caucasian and Republican,” she says. “There are parts that are diverse and poor. It's not just a suburb of kids who have it easy." Moon spent much of her teen years wrapped up in her dreams of making it as a musician, and she consequently spent hours working on her songs (most of which combined her two passions, hip-hop and folk). “I always thought I’d be a singer,” she says.

But Moon was forced to put her singing dreams on hold after she successfully landed a gig as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers. It was also around that time that Moon started receiving work as a model, and her face could be seen adorning advertisements for such companies as Revlon and Clairol. Her unique looks quickly made her a standout among her fellow cheerleaders, and it wasn’t long before Moon was being asked to dance alongside a raft of popular artists (including Michael Jackson and Prince).

Moon’s slow-but-sure entry into the world of entertainment convinced her to give acting a try, and she began the tedious process of auditioning for anything and everything she could get her hands on. Her hard work and tenacity paid off in 2002, when she landed a one-off role on the sitcom Just Shoot Me in an episode that also featured an appearance by fellow model-turned-actress Brooke Burns.

Moon Bloodgood Appears in a Lot Like Love

Moon followed that up with appearances on such shows as CSI, North Shore and Monk, and in 2004, she made her cinematic debut with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! Moon’s exotic looks ensured that she stood out amongst her hundreds of fellow struggling ingenues, with her admittedly quick ascent to fame certainly reflecting this. After taking on a role opposite Amanda Peet and Ashton Kutcher in 2006’s A Lot Like Love, Moon successfully auditioned for her most substantial part yet in that year’s Eight Below. Acting opposite Paul Walker and Jason Biggs, Moon proved she was more than capable of holding her own in a major Hollywood motion picture.

Moon Bloodgood Stars in Journeyman

Moon’s burgeoning fame led to a starring role on the short-lived ABC drama Day Break, which was unceremoniously pulled off the airwaves after just a handful of airings. Moon didn’t let the failure of the program get her down, however, and she was soon acting opposite Karl Urban in the 2007 Viking action flick Pathfinder. Moon can be seen on the NBC drama Journeyman, and will appear alongside such legends as Robert De Niro, Sean Penn and Bruce Willis in the Barry Levinson comedy What Just Happened?

It’s official: Britain’s young women like nothing more than an illicit fling. They lead the world in one-night stands, beating the Germans, Americans, Australians and Canadians hands down when it comes to a bit of naughtiness on the side. British women have more sex, more often, with more people than any other women anywhere on Earth. Isn’t this a great nation, or what?

A poll of 14,000 women by Bradley University in Illinois found that British women love a one-night stand â€" 35 per cent would rather have an affair than find someone who’s single.
Girls are sleeping around more than blokes these days. By the age of 21 they’ve had sex with an average of nine lovers â€" two more than their male partners. So don’t believe any of that old guff about you ‘being their third…’
Girls are also twice as likely to be unfaithful, with 50 per cent admitting they have cheated on a partner â€" half at least twice!
32 per cent of women believe love to be an important factor before having sex, but 50 per cent confessed to having had a one-night stand and a fifth had enjoyed more than five.

23 per cent of women in a relationship with a man would consider having sex with another woma n. see complete Story on Maxim.co.uk
