HOT AVRIL LAVIGNE PHOTO

Avril Lavigne Whibley is better known by her birth name Avril Lavigne.

Avril Ramona Lavigne was born in Belleville, Ontario, Canada on September 27, 1984. Her parents are a French-born father, John, and a Franco-Ontarian mother, Judy. Father named her Avril after the month "April" in French. She has a younger sister, Michelle and an older brother, Matthew. Lavigne's mother was the first to spot young Lavigne's talent. When she just two years old, Lavigne began singing church songs along with her mother. At the age of five Lavigne's family moved to Napanee, Ontario.

In November 2000, Lavigne was signed as a singer to Arista Records. However she was given songs written by others, but she dismissed them, insisting she wanted to write her own. Lavigne and Arista had conflicts in musical direction for a year. Avril collaborated with the production team The Matrix and the ensuing album was called Let Go.

At the closing ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, Lavigne represented Canada performing her song "Who Knows" during the eight minutes of the Vancouver 2010 part.

In 2007 Lavigne promoted The Best Damn Thing in Hong Kong. In 2006 while Lavigne was in studio for her third studio album, Fox Entertainment Group asked her to write a song for the soundtrack to the 2006 fantasy-adventure film Eragon. She wrote and recorded two "ballad-type" songs, one of which "Keep Holding On" was used for the film. Lavigne admitted that writing the song was a challenge for her, making sure it flows along with the film. She also noted that "Keep Holding On" did not tell what the next album would be like. The song that later released on the album, appeared on radio on November 20, 2006, and later debuted for digital download on November 28.

In the issue of Seventeen magazine on January 2003, Avril admitted to "snagging a bite of Matt's cheeseburgers every now and again". She also mentioned that prefers not to eat meat, but will not say she's a vegetarian "in case anyone caught her eating meat".

Lavigne has a tattoo of star the inside of her left wrist that matches the style of the one used for her first album artwork. In late 2004, she amde a small pink heart-shaped tattoo with the letter 'D' on her right wrist, which represents her husband Deryck Whibley, a Canadian singer and guitarist, leader of punk band Sum 41. They began dating in February 2004 and on June 27, 2005, Lavigne and Whibley engaged. Whibley made his proposal to Lavigne during trip to Venice, enjoying a gondola ride, and then having a romantic picnic.

On July 15, 2006 couple married in a Catholic ceremony that attended about 110 guests at a private estate in Montecito, California. When asked if they were ready for kids the answer was "not right now but somewhere down the road."

In a 2004 interview Lavigne said that her favorite party song was Hey Ya, by Outkast. She likes listening to the music by Third Eye Blind, Oasis, Marilyn Manson, System of a Down and Blink-182, and loves especially the track I Miss You. When she was asked what she would put on a mix tape to a boy she liked, she said: "Iris, by Goo Goo Dolls. I'd put a few Coldplay and Oasis songs. Radiohead - The Bends is one of my favorite albums".
