Anjali is a south Indian actress and model who works mainly in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She is best known for her critically acclimed role as Anandhi in 2007 Tamil movie Katradhu Thamizh which made her debut ant introduce to Tamil industry
Career
Anjali was born Rajamundry in Andhra Pradesh, India, and has two brothers.
She began her acting career in 2007 with the famous Tamil film Katradhu Thamizh play, directed by Ram, who gave her chance to star in the film, when she was waiting for offer in Telugu film industry.
Although the film at the box office success of the knowledge of the people, "Ananth", a homely girl which Anjali played in the film and criticlly acclimed was haighly praised and was also nominated for the Filmfare Best Debut Award for the actress in Tamil current Year.
In the second film Aayudham Seivom opposite Director-turned-actor Sundar C,she went for an image makeover, shedding her " homely image†and played glamorous role with less scope to perform.The public got surprise and shock and not received well when compared to her impressive role in first film.
Anjali is currently working on five films, including Angaadi Theru by Vasanthabalan, who is director of National Film award-winning Tamil Film Veyyil and Rettai Suzhi, in which she shares screen with veteran directors Bharathiraja and K. Balachandar.
